Phone is 4 months old, only issues are the occasional network outage. But I can't really blame the phone for that. Build quality seems excellent, I have no complaints about the phone itself.
Made in Mexico 1 unit here. Right out of the box, the battery cover was loose and creaked. Other than that, it's pretty solid. I've dropped it a few times from about waist level onto concrete and it's still going....for now.
Hungary- quality is terrible. Mine suffers from the common no sound issue with the battery cover is on. It seems to be a design flaw however, as research on the web shows that quite a fair number of people have the same issue?

Mexico - phone screen dripples when trackball was pressed or hang up button, battery door creaks, scroll was messing up after 2 months, than the scroll for down direction stopped working.
Edge of the screen was discolor and brighter, stand by button was broken since day 1 thot it was like that, until I received my refurb.
Got the phone replaced with mexico 1 2 days ago, no problems so far listed from above. Working good.

I have a "Mexico 1" Bold and have had no problems at all with this Bold (my third) I don't recall where my previous models were made, but I had a screen ripple just from using the volume toggle on one of them and the other had some serious software issues. Both were replaced under AT&T's warranty service.
FWIW, the battery in my current Bold is from China.
