I read somewhere in the Storm forums that VZW won't be releasing .151 or any other OS officially. Are we really done on .148?

I'm guessing the Storm 2 will get all the OS goodness?

Yes 5.0.0.140 is out right now.. Search 5.0.0.140 and you will find the link for the leak.

Yes 5.0 is awesome! It has some bugs and doesn't play nice with a lot of 3rd party apps, but its going to be great when the developers get their hands on it. Its definitely worth the effort to load and revert if its not for you. With all the experts on this site you really don't have much to worry about unless it doesn't work and you call VZW and tell them that you are trying to run 5.0 in which case they might flag your account. I've been running it since the day I found it and still love it even with the bugs. Memory is great and lag is gone.

I have a great experience with the 5.0... you just have to set it up right. Everything is very very fast.

That was about 151....VZW wont release 151 since they are way past that in testing. I doubt you see a 4.7 release again but OS 5 will be released for the Storm 1

Thing is, I may be wrong, but we may all have to wait until the Storm 2 comes out..

Releasing 5.0 official for the storm 1 before then could possibly undercut a lot of Storm 2 sales, at least in part.

Of course carriers other than Verizon may be more generous sooner..

I've heard raves about it from friends but as usual as waiting for the official one...I mean I hate to be blunt but saying "Verizon" has made a decision not to release new s/w sounds....well, DUMB as ****....how would they handle the warranty they have with the manufacturer...lol boy I tell you THINK THINK THINK!

Been running 5.0 for some time, it's not perfect but it's good enough that I am willing to put up with some 3rd party incompatibilities. Don't really want to go back to 4.7
