I Must say, the G1 trackball absolutely blows the OEM one out of the water, the feel and responsiveness of it are way better. It also feels slightly higher then the OEM one, but that might be a placebo effect

What is the difference beween it & an "atomic" trackball?

Also what is an "atomic" trackball? Is it only for the 8900??

I ordered everything from cnn.cn
I've heard people say that cnn's quality isn't good, but they must have expected way too much or got a defective item because the quality is as good as oem, as if RIM themselves sent me a black bezel
The atomic trackball is the trackball for the 8900 and Tour, its really smooth, which I don't like, the Google's G1 Trackball is nicely textured and solid black. I actually prefer it over the OEM white one that comes with the Bold

Hmm now I'm curious, wonder if I can purchase instore since I'm in DE.
I do want a new bezel, mine is scratched, just wasn't ready to void the warranty.

The G1 trackball works very, very well. I use my berry a ton and it already feels better than the OEM ball in terms of responsiveness and tactile feedback.

I did not paint the trackball retainer, I had removed it the 2nd day I had my Bold since it gave the trackball a "higher" feeling. The actual "case" the trackball is housed within came black from cnn, on the OEM one it is white.

Forgot to mention, if you remove the retainer clip and use the G1 or Atomic trackball, some light will bleed through where the retainer clip is not there to block. Not a lot or an amount to bother you though, just an FYI
