    is there any app for the 8330M from sprint that can force roaming? because at school i get no signal and also anytime it rains around my area my signal goes down.. and when it goes on roaming its good but then it changes back to sprint and goes down again.. any app or anyway i can force my phone to roam?

    There are several threads in these forums (83XX, etc.) that ask the same thing.

    So far no one has come up with a solution, other than to downgrade to 4.2 on the 8330. Since you have the 8330m, you don't have the option to downgrade to 4.2 which offered the Forced Roaming option.

    You could probably paste in the .cod files from the 8330 4.2 OS java folder into your 4.5 java folder to get the option. No one has tried this yet...

    If its only a sprint thing, why then when you install a os from an other company (like att) it does not give you the roming only option ?

    i had actually upgraded to the .138 for the M that i found somewhere in the forums then i found a hybrid os and got up to .160 i think? so thats what im running now..

    That was so you could get the 4.3 files for a possible hybrid.

    for the 8330m there is only 4.5..
    I know. Hence, the hybrid using 4.3 files in the base 4.5 OS.

    well if somebody made the hybrid that would allow to roam when i choose i might also it would have to be one that doesn't drain my battery ! last hybrid .160 drained it like crazy till i upgraded to alltel new .169 for the M that works amazingly you guys should give it a try it even improved my signal https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do
