I have a water damaged storm. I used it, but now I have a Tour.
Fortunately, the storm does work perfectly, in spite of water damage.

My sister's cellphone has terrible battery life, and frequently freezes.
But she doesn't want to buy new one yet and she isn't interested with
using internet with the phones.
Because she's gonna leave US in this winter.
So I want to activate my storm for few months without data plan for my sister.
Can I activate the storm without VZW data plan?
If so, I'm going to activate it right now for my sister.

No, it has to have the data plan. There is no way around it.

I agree, no BB on prepaid and no BB without data.

You should be able to use the bb on prepaid but it would have to be unlocked first.

My storm is unlocked.
But my sister's line is contracted by this december. So I don't want to pay ETF to use the storm on prepaid.
I think I have no way to change her phone..
I'll let her use her phone till the end.
