I have an envelope at the top left corner of my home screen with a one next to it, but when I check my messages there aren't any new and/or unread messages? Am I forgetting to check somewhere? I'm running OS 4.5 right now...

This must have happened while on the upgrading or writing of software process.... The best way is to do a full back up of your device through desktop manager, then do a full wipe, then a full restore. Good luck!

Check ur missed call log.

Wiping ur device for this matter is a bit extreme!!! there has to be something unopened
