I don't really see the point in just ditching my bold, it's everything I wanted it to be and the onyx doesn't have a jump in ability that I'd need to go spring for another phone without an upgrade
so buy the Onyx full retail and sell your Bold on ebay, im sure someone would buy and it hopefully youll make enough money to make it seem like you paid the sale price for it
I'm going to ditch my bold for a storm 2 when the GSM version comes out. May wait until its in market for a month or two to see what issues it has before I make the switch
No way. Don't get me wrong, the Onyx seems SWEET, but it's not enough of an upgrade. When my contract is up, the new phones will be worth it. I could care less about camera on my phone. I can manage the Bold's memory well enough also. The mem. part sucks, but no deal breaker. There aren't even enough apps to use it all, IMO.
If the Onyx was truly a huge upgrade, i would pay full price.
Not only that, the Bold has a stable OS and plenty of BETA's to mess with. Even a Hybrid! I don't want a new phones OS to deal with right now.
Coming from a Curve to a Bold was an enormous upgrade. The difference between the two is like night and day. The Onyx just doesn't seem like that much of an upgrade from the Bold. Sure it has a better camera (who cares?) and it's running OS 5.0 but when it comes down to it, whats the Onyx going to do that The Bold doesn't? I'm going to wait this one out and see if the Onyx is all that. There was a similar buzz on the 8900 and it turned out to be a dud.
web browser is as painfully slow as the Bolds or any other BB. After seeing this video I'll pass
