I just noticed that the metal charging contacts at the bottom corners are slowly turning a copper-ish color--is this normal? From my very minimal electronics knowledge, I think it is, but I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this on their Bold when using the OEM cradle.

No they were not always copper and yes mine too are slightly turning color... It's to be expected because of the way it's charging. Though If I rub them a bit, some of the copper wears off a bit.

Hey i was thinking of getting the cradle charger for my 9000, anyone mind posting or sending me a pick of your "copper contacts", just wana make sure its worth it.

Also check out the blackberry bluetooth stereo gateway. I use one in my car and one in my bedroom. Freakin awsome!

Wow, you know I never even noticed that. Mine are only a slight bit discolored, but if you know to look, its definitely noticeable.

The contacts are pretty tiny why worry so much if they turn a copper colour. I bet only you will notice no one else

Mine are still silver and i've been using my cradle every night for like 8 months.

If it bugs you so much you can buy replaisement parts for it to look oem again
