Who else thinks Verizon's network is really slow? Is it just me but it drives me nuts sometimes.

Maybe. I'm in NY so it could be a network issue in our area. Its always the same for me. If I use it for tethering I get better speed. If I use it for normal data stuff through the phone itself I get a lot of lag sometimes

Maybe it the apps that I use or the web sites I visit. Who knows. Like now the speed is pretty good. Most Of the time its not. I don't think its the phone because this like my 4th one and its always the same.

it could have to do with how far away from the tower you are and how good the signal is. Im sure its not the network probably just your signal strength.

wow im more than happy with VZW coverage/speed. I had the speed test app on my Storm and i think my download speed was somewhere around 560-600 kbps... i might be a bit off but from i remember it was somewhere round there.

I dont have any issues when im in a good coverage area. At home its a different story. Little to no coverage.

im on the west coast in central california and i get good coverage and 3G pretty much everywhere

but hands down in areas ive lived in (central cali, phoenix metro & surrounding areas) Verizon wins all other carriers.

In az its slow as ****. Verision sells a $45/month plan in addition to the $30. I think the 45 is only one that acheives 3g speed.

The price difference has nothing to do with speed it is BIS vs BES
