I know there are other variables to consider in signal strength and where you are is of course going to influence your signal.
I just want a GENERAL/BROAD idea of what signal strength everyone is currently running at. Maybe something like
-89dBm/Verizon/NE Ohio
There are a couple ways to check of course:
Alt +NMLL will change your "bars" display to a numeric display (and then back again with Alt + NMLL). I find it difficult to read due to the generic theme font I have.
-110dBm/Verizon/Gulfport, MS
sluggish downloads at times as well as dropped calls - was told by Verizon that I reside in an area where there is a "hole" in tower coverage. BTW - I originally went with the Curve because reception was supposed to be better than the other models - got no reception at all with 2 phones and finally demanded to try another phone. Happy with my Storm regardless of this issue for now.
so i know that thats the signal strength... but is a higher number better? sorry the question...but i dont really know... i just know i get good data and voice service at work and at home...

Closer to 0 the better. -60 is by far better than -80
