I was wondering if anyone knew why this happens?

The default Today theme that comes on my 8330 shows Email and SMS messages in the "Messages" area.

I noticed one of the themes I've downloaded doesn't show text msgs in the Messages section, and I've noticed some have made an extra section just for SMS.

Are there any custom "Today" style themes with Messages and Calendar that include text msgs in the Messages section?

its an option you can change yourself. Go to messages, options, and it will say SMS and E-mail, you can either choose Together, Separate, or Theme Controlled
