I have had my storm since November. I have have always liked it very much but since installing .151 and seeing how the new app world runs and other upgraded apps, IMO I think this phone is really starting to come into its own.
Still needs tweeking of course, but isnt that half the fun of this phone LOL would have gotten boring if it worked perfectly from day 1
Glad to hear that you liked .148 I did also coming from .075. You should definitely try .151. It is and official operating system from rim, not leaked or a hybrid, it just wasnt released from verizon. Search the threads for download link on here. I feel .151 is a much more refined or polished version of .148. Just the much improved memory managment and the improvment of the color banding alone makes it worth running on your storm. Good luck
I also love mine, especially with .151. I think that the screen makes the device the best, hands down, and wouldn't trade mine for the world right now.

e last 8 months with .148 and .151 being the best. But now the 5.0 makes it the best yet by far. The added features, better transitions, etc. are great. But ty menu leak issues have basically gone away. I was dropping sometimes 10-20 mb in a day and it seems to be a couple of mb every few days depending on usage.

i just went to .151 from .148. I have to say, .151 is awesome! plus it made my app memory go up from booting at about 26 to booting at about 36. I love this phone!
Starting to get better, still needs work...and its nearly at the end of its life with storm 2 around the corner. Pretty pathetic IMO. I realize that it will still get support but we all know RIM and VZW jumped the gun on release. Most people won't even see what it ends up being because they will have moved on and upgraded by then.

I love it to be honest, and god i love it when people say that the phones "slow" or glitchy, so i hand it to them to use and when they try to show me, the only thing i get is silence.
Im sure the Storm will get its due even with the new baby on the way.
I'm in agreement, I love my phone, the more i use it, the more I like it. My fiancee got hers last December, and I got mine this spring. With .151 it has only gotten better. Finally memory management and the bloody color banding is gone! Very happy with it.
I agree. I have always been biased because when I switched to the storm, I really wanted the phone. From day one for me, which started in March, i have been using leaks and hybrids. With the addition of .151 and 5.0 the future is very bright. I am currrently running 151 with OOAK's 7.5 hybrid. I'm running Pandora, Facebook, Meterberry, App World, Buzzme Pro, You Mail, QuickPull. ProTranslate Lite, Poynt and I have Docs to Go and BBM 5.0 and I start with 49mb of app memory and have not broken 45mb all day. I'm sticking with this storm, unless the Storm 2 has a stable version of 5.0.
I also agree. Since .148 it has been a whole new ball game. I love the technology of the surepress and wouldn't trade it for anything. I will say though that I will probably go the the S2 because it has wifi and it still has the good ole click click.
I have known SEVERAL people that took their Storm's back because .75 was suck a piece of crap OS and I think it contributed to the bad rap of the phone by reviewers and consumers. Well...since putting .151 and a couple Lyricidal updates on my phone those same friends are kicking themselves for getting rid of the Storm. They can't believe the difference in how fast it is now and the transitions are a hit as well. I wouldn't trade mine for the world! Playing with a curve and a tour is ok but when you get that 360x480 screen back in your hands it's no contest which phone is better for me. Every OS has been an improvement so far so I see it only getting better.
+1 to all the above. I've been running .164 for a few days & love it but happy to use default theme so no issues with notifications and damn it's fast now. I'm going to try 5.0 tonite for interests sake. Wish me luck.

I don't want to get off subject but just so people know 5.0 was not a good leak. Does it work? Yea but should be played with by advanced users that would rather tinker with the phone than have it work completely. Way too many compatibility issues to recommend to the average user. Stick with .151 or .164 for now folks. 5.0 is not as cool as the FEW that use it say.
