Do you guys recommend the tour from Verizon? Is it better to wait until they fix all the bugs first? Will the battery door problem ever be fixed? I am thinking of getting it I am just worried about the issues people mentioned so far. Thanks.

Oh sorry I also forgot to mention the bluetooth problems as well. I have a 2007 Acura TL and I use my phone in my car a lot so if it won't work that's a deal breaker for me. Can anyone confirm that the Verizon tour works with the 2007 TL? If not, how soon do you think Verizon will fix this issue?

The issues have nothing to do with verizon but the issues are very minor if any just depends on the phone you get

You have the 30 day worry free guarantee, so you could give the Tour a test drive, literally in your Acura, and see if it works well with your factory bluetooth.

On the other hand, the bluetooth may or may not be fixed with an upcoming OS update, so you might want to wait a bit to see if this is the case.

If I take your advice and take it for a test drive and it doesn't work with my car do I have to pay the restocking fee?

Most likely, yes. $35 restocking fee.

If your car has bluetooth it will work...really that simple. Just pair the device up and bam

I thought there was no restocking fee if you go back to your old phone and don't upgrade for another 30 (60?) days? (to prevent frequent switches)

That may be the case. I haven't read the fine print.

I know I just read a lot of people complaining that the bluetooth in the car was giving them problems.

Thats not necessarily true. The ability to make calls and receive calls is easy but most of the new cars have phonebook, caller id, sent and received calls on the in car screen. These things do not always work with every phone. I have a 2009 Audi A4 and my Storm never would transfer the data long term. Everything worked fine in the beginning and then one day it just stopped.
Have had my Tour since launch day and so far so good. You just have to try.

The Tour works perfectly with my 2006 Acura TL. I assume the 2007 shouldn't be much different. I would say go for it!

You don't have the sound issues everyone is talking about?

There are some problems that can't be worked around, but overall, I think people are making huge issues out of minor things. Battery door wiggles slightly, but if you get a case or skin, you will never notice. I love the phone, very glad I got it.
