OK this is has probable been posted multiple times but i need some one on one help i have a blackberry 8900 for t-mobile and i am running Os .231 and desktop manager 5.0 i have been trying to upgrade to blackberry messenger 5.0 can someone help me please!!!!

Its an OTA (over the air) file. All you need to do is click the link and click download and it will install

I can't get it to install.

I tried the OTA link and while dowloading it asks to replace 2 files with the newer ones and about 90% in it says download cancelled.

Any ideas?

search the fourm for another OTA link, they are all over the place

i got it...2nd time around worked fine

download it first.. then extract the file to your computer. plug in your USB to your phone and computer.. Then run desktop manager.. go to application loader and go to add/remove.. click start... next click browse, select file that you downloaded and then it does the rest.. supposedley..

the OTA download worked like a charm! I am up and running with bbm 5.0 with OS 4.6.1.231

yeah, the OTA is the way to go..desktop version gave me trouble, regardless which method i used
