    Hey guys,

I just wanted to know your opinion on the leaked version of BBM 5.0. Is it worth it?, should I download it? Thanks in advance!

If you don't rely on BBM for mission critical info (and I don't know anyone who does) and you want to play, go ahead, but be prepared for your messages to take from several minutes to an hour to go through and for BBM 5 to lock up from time to time. I suggest you do it via the OTA link as it is the easiest way to install AND get back to the 4.7 version when you have had enough. Just make sure you back up everything before hand for sure!!!!!

I've been using it for a while now and have greatly enjoyed it. I believe most of the past BBM 5 issues were server sided, as RIM was not prepared for the leak of 5.0. I'm sure they had to implement new server software to make it work right, and only did so to avoid thousands of angry crackberry addicts.

The program is very cool. The barcode scan option is awesome. I did an OTA install and have had no issues whatsoever. Give it a try.

I downloaded 5.0 ota to my Tour and it worked just fine. Here is the url where they have it posted for all OS and models.

I know I don't ever post, but any questions, BBM me.

it was pretty cool i installed it used it for 2 days id rather wait for the final version which i have to say im really excited for. RIM really hit the nail on the head with this messenger far superior to the old one even in the early stages imho.
