If you don't rely on BBM for mission critical info (and I don't know anyone who does) and you want to play, go ahead, but be prepared for your messages to take from several minutes to an hour to go through and for BBM 5 to lock up from time to time. I suggest you do it via the OTA link as it is the easiest way to install AND get back to the 4.7 version when you have had enough. Just make sure you back up everything before hand for sure!!!!!
can someone in here please help me? i need the bbm 5.0 OTA but for the 8900 is the att one.. i have the ota for my storm and im in love with it but now i have my friends buggin me for the OTA for the 8900 and i have no idea where i can find it i keep searching through the threads and cant find anything! your help would be greatly appreciated!
I've been using it for a while now and have greatly enjoyed it. I believe most of the past BBM 5 issues were server sided, as RIM was not prepared for the leak of 5.0. I'm sure they had to implement new server software to make it work right, and only did so to avoid thousands of angry crackberry addicts.
I have the fix for BBM on the 5.0OS and the links OTA to get BBM 5.0. BBM is down on RIMs end though. Pin me for info if it will work. I have been communicating through twitter all day its slow but seems to be working. @bruceamen on twitter, follow me and I will send you links and help with this issue.
it was pretty cool i installed it used it for 2 days id rather wait for the final version which i have to say im really excited for. RIM really hit the nail on the head with this messenger far superior to the old one even in the early stages imho.
