RIM servers are being overloaded by everyone who installed and is using the leaked 5.0 bbm. Just be patient or downgrade.
I haven't installed yet. The reason I'm posting is because I'm considering it, but I have 65 bb contacts, so I use bb constantly and if there are delivery problems then it won't be worth it for me to preview the new bbm
For me it works great ( I only have like 8 contacts lol). I think 2 today's ago I sent a message and did not go trough. Since that. I don't have anymore problems
5.0 or not as long as the server is overloaded you're gonna have those problems no matter which version you have.
Hmm.. thats a good point... Maybe its time to backup and get experimental... anyone have any words of wisdom before I take the leap? Like any reason not to do it?

I just loaded it on my Bold again, but this time I didn't do it OTA. I used the
Desktop Manager method. Since I convinced myself it's a server issue (which
it is), I went back to it.
installed on Friday, ran problem free until sunday when messages started not delivering. Resent service books, host routing table, battery pull...and everything seems to be working alright now.
Installed 5.0 on Saturday (via DM 5) and have had no problems. Sunday I installed it on the GF's Bold (again, via DM 5) and we're both lovin' it. Especially love the look as well as the Add new contact showing the 3d barcode. Thanks to RIM for this IM application !
Can't say whether I am "still" having problems with BBM 5.0 - since I never had any problems. All is well.
Except that I don't really like BBM and almost never use it except for testing it over the last few days. I'll stop using it again. But that's a different topic.
