So I upgraded to .151. Let me tell you my Storm is so much better with .151 than it was with .148. I haven't noticed any downside to it as of yet. So to all those that are having problems give .151 a try.

Yeah...this is an awesome OS. Especially in regard to memory. I might drop 1 or 2 meg over a period of 3 to 5 days.

I will have to agree, .151 has been the best released OS to date. I sure wish .164 would be leaked. Its supposed to be even better.

please tell us what the "mad glitches" are that you have discovered because .151 has addressed more of the problems than any previous OS.

I got .151 from searching this site. Please explain what mad glitches you
Are referring to. I have not noticed any yet.

I have the exact same problem. The other day I also noticed it rebooting by itself which I have never seen on previous builds? It requires a quickpull at least once a day to bring everything back such as weather eye etc.

No issues here either. Updated from .148 to .151 Friday night. I love this OS. With .148, I was experiencing massive memory leaks (27mb at start-up and as low as 8mb within hours)

My Storm is running like a champ. Holding memory at 37mb-39mb. It's actually a pleasure to use my phone now. I have not found any flaws yet.

Been running .151 since day 1. No issues. Runs great. As already stated this is what the phone should have been like at release. Can only imagine how well it will run with future OS's (.164 - 5.0).

Rewards come to those who wait.....

Well now I'm wondering if I spoke too soon about .151. I had quick
Pull scheduled to run nightly. Well when I got off work I noticed
That I was having some of the same issues with the touchscreen and
Lag and non responsiveness that I had with .148. It took me two battery
Pulls in a couple hours time to get it working ok again. Has anyone
Experienced this with quick pull that is running .151? It seems
That .151 runs so well that quick pull may not even be necessary
    Any longer.

Upgraded to .151 a couple of days ago, and have had terrible battery life as compared to .148. By 5PM today after an 8 hour day with my normal usage, my battery life should have been around 60%, instead it was 15%! Similar numbers each day using .151.

The double vibration for incoming messages is annoying, but the battery life issue is the deal breaker. I'm in the process of downgrading to .148. I'll try again when/if .164 arrives.

Ok. Subtle yet cool transitions, but why is rim doing away with some features on new builds. I went straigt from .75 to .148 and noticed that the option to create a shortcut to the call log on the home screen was gone. Now I "upgrade" to .151 and see that they did away with the ability to swipe up to get the dial pad while in phone mode. I also noticed that it takes a few down swipes to get the dialpad OR the keyboard to go down.

Oh the price we pay for a sligtly better transition and a bit more memory.

Even if a "PERFECT" os was invented you people would still find something to ***** about. It's a damn phone for christ sake, which I think works quite well with .151. I never heard so much whining about such nonsense, I remember the days of 5 1/4 floppies and how we have done nothing but ADVANCE since then. If you people hate all the flaws so much, then try going back to .75 or wait better yet do away with all your technology and go back to the days of being human instead of "Machines carrying Machines."

Only issue experienced while playing around with .151 is occasional and what seems to be random lag or jerkiness to the homescreen swiping or sometimes contact list swiping.

I'm unable to upgrade my storm from 148 to 151.

I installed the OS in my computer as usual and when I loaded the desktop manager, the 'checking for updates' pop up box appeared for a couple of seconds and then went away.

And so i tried upgrading manually: application loader > update software: in the list, i see 148 as the (current) one and i see 151 at the end of the list and so i checked 151 and clicked next but then i get a message saying that no software update is required on my device!!

I physically checked the OS version in the phone and it is still 148 so i wonder why desktop manager suggests that no updates are required when clearly the version i checked to install in the application loader is 151 (newer than 148).

any suggestions on how to get the DM to recognize 151 as the version to install?

    any help will be appreciated.

problem solved. Core components needed to be upgraded first and then the whole OS.
