    T-mobile Blackberry 8900 users are able to head over to T-mobile.com/bbupgrade and pick up software upgrade version 4.6.1.231. Nothing really groundbreaking dropping with this official software upgrade but a number of enhancements are included. Get it now!

    * Improved battery life
    * Improved software and stability
    * Improved UMA and data performance
    * Enhancements to audio and speakerphone
    * Resolves several known issues

    The BB 8900 Software Version 4.6.1.231 will not be available until 9pm Pacific Standard Time, so if youre in Central time, you have to wait until 11pm local time to get it. Or you can always go directly to the BB website. The wireless upgrade option for T-Mobile 8900 owners will also not be available until that time as well. Enjoy!!!

    I've noticed an improvement in speed and UMA. Sending texts seem quicker too.

    An earlier post points out that the Wireless Upgrade feature still does not seem to be setup for the new OS version. A following post asserts that it IS working and points to the On-line capability. These are 2 separate processes.

    I also would like them to enable the Wireless Upgrade for this OS upgrade. The other upgrade processes are quirky and require your PC. Since they took the trouble to create the Wireless Upgrade process, I can't understand why they are not making it available for use.

    Is it best to remove the SD card or doesn't it matter? TIA

    Did you previously download .250?

    I'm actually running it myself. I just picked up my 8900 and I was doing a swap anyway, so I thought I would just upgrade the OS.

    I don't have any experience with the original OS, but .250 has been smooth sailing.
