I used to use Weatherbug on my storm, and I loved it. But weatherbug makes you pay $30/yr for their app. It was free on the storm.

Are there any other weather apps like weatherbug that are free for the tour?

    TIA

I am a huge fan of WeatherEye. The desktop icon changes with the weather. It is a simple program, but it does what I need it to do. It is on BB App World.

Not sure if it works on the tour, but I've always been partial to BBWeather myself, might be worth taking a look at if nothing else.

Does BBweather give severe weather alerts? I have been using weatherbug and while it keeps my weather station saved for current conditions, it absolutely refuses to keep the zip code I enter so I never get the severe weather alerts.

Drives me crazy! If it weren't for that, I'd be sold on weatherbug.

How do you get the desktop icon to change? I have it on my Tour, but it just has a blue sphere in desktop and current conditions.

I tried both weather eye and weatherbug. Weathereye's predictions were a bit higher than the actual weather while weatherbug seemed more accurate for my area.

In the end I kept weatherbug because there were a lot more options. The ability to have more than one location was the selling point for me.

As for the person asking about getting the icon to update. I found that if you opened the app at least once and let it set the weather and then closed it the icon would change accordingly every x hours (whatever you have it set to. Mine is 4).

I live in indonesia, and not in the capital. I was impressed when BBweather was able to show an hour by hour forecasts for my city. I mean, seriously, how many of u guys know where a city called "Bandung" is? The home screen icon changes too!

But Ninja.... When is 5.0 coming out? What's this yellow globe icon that won't go away? Anybody ever seen this strange icon before? It a square with diagonal boxes in it. And where did all these strange apps come from, and how do I delete them? How do you upgrade the OS? What's the latest version? Is it working with Facebook?

    Did I forget any?

Is WeatherEye compatible with the Tour? I heard it was not. If it is compatible, do you have a link? Thank you.
