How many of you have back up phones? Is it a bb or something else?
i got my first BB (8900) in April. My previous phone, a T-Mobile Shadow still works, but it is not in the best condition. Even as a back up it wouldn't last long. So I'm thinking as getting something else, just in case. What do you guys use as a back up?
Other than my first cell phone about 17 years ago I have always kept a back up around.
Primary: 9630 Tour
Back up 1: 8330 Curve
Back up 2: 9530 Storm
One of the back ups will be going up for sale/trade after I am settled in a bit more on the Tour. Just want to be positive that the Tour can go the distance abnd I haven't decided which one I will keep and which one I will get send off to a new home.
Using the Storm right now, have a World Edition and the old reliable gunmetal Razr as the backups. Will be grabbing a Tour soon if the Storm 2 doesn't see the light of day.
Using the Curve 8330 . and read the thread to fast , but since I already posted and edited it so it makes sense I will add this..... if I had a another I would get the tour and have this is the back up .
I have a 2G iPhone that I use as backup primarily. I also have a T-Mo Dash laying around somewhere. Once I upgrade to another blackberry, I may keep my 8320 as backup and my iPhone will turn into an iPod touch! Lol

Back up: Bold
Primary business use: Tour
Back up: 8800/8700g
I also have an 8900 but my wife uses it as a back to her 3gs. And all of my berries are unlocked.

No backup cell phone. I would use my home and office land lines along with my laptop to get me by until a replacement bold was received, which shouldn't be more than a couple of days.
No backup for me either... USCC provides you with a phone while yours gets fixed if it breaks... don't know what the loner phone would be if my Curve goes down... probably some old 2002 Nokia or something... all it'll do is let you play snake.
Considering picking up an 87xx series to use as backup just in case... I'm sure I'll have my 8330 for a while considering how slow USCC is on getting new devices... Maybe they'll have the tour by the time my upgrade date hits! (about another year away...)
