ScoreMobile is a free sports information application that we told you about previously. Joe let me know that the latest version 1.1 adds NFL, NASCAR, MLS, CFL, NCAAB and NCAAF to their roster of sports information. That list is added to their current roster of MLB, NHL, NBA, and PGA info.

ScoreMobile provides up-to-the-minute sports scores for the leagues they cover. They also give you access to fantasy player stats, live blogs, previews, recaps, odds and league standings. It also supports practically every BlackBerry from the 8XXX series up except for the 8700.

You can get it in the App World or OTA at ScoreMobile - MLB

That is what this app does. It has it's own icon that you open and get current scores and stats. I don't know anything about the text charges you mention because I had the link sent to my email. Check out the website below. This is where I got it from.

now if only it would let you select sports teams to follow specifically, easy to find upcomming games and whatnot. Sometimes I'm to busy to realize when all the games are coming up.

I used this app for a while checking NHL scores during the playoffs and what not. I'm glad they added the NFL. Thanks for the update.

So far it's seems to be a great app. Was following a baseball game last week and the updates were about 5 min behind what ESPN had on the TV. The real test will be this winter with NFL, NHL, and NCAA football and basketball.

You can select favorite teams, and they'll appear at the top of the respective Scoreboard. However, I agree that it would be nice to have a special section that tracks ONLY your favorite teams. I also like the previously mentioned idea of "pitch-by-pitch" or "play-by-play" -- similar to the iPod's MLB app or the ESPN Game Tracker.

It would be nice as well to add your "favorite" teams games schedule to your calendar, be very easy to know when the next flames or bombers game is coming up!

Unfortunately this app drains my memory and I find the menu item selection a little inconsistent.

Does anyone else on .151 find that this app drains memory?

I have been using this program for a couple of months. It works really well with my Storm, the choices for different sports is varied, the updates are great, standings are accurate. I used to use ESPN and Viigo..I removed both from my Storm. Viigo is gone because it's a memory hog and ESPN is gone because it's not as good for my application than ScoreMobile! I follow NHL, NFL, MLB primarily. It works for me and plays nice on my Storm.
