Is this common to receive so many positive reviews when a new Blackberry debuts? Besides the shoddy engineering for the battery cover (what RIM QC supervisor gave the approval on that!), I don't recall any previous Blackberry with such high marks.
no battery cover jiggles, no rippled screen, no lag trackball,no frozen apps or any other of the flaws I've read over the last 3 days. the more I use it the more I love it. Coming from a 8330 curve. and in love with my tour
A+
i love this thing coming from the 8330. the only problem being the bat. cover, but a small buisness card took care of that for me.. im happy as a pig in sh!t
This is my second blackberry and this thing works excellent and no problems like people been complaining about and compared to my first one this thing is light years ahead

I'm very pleased with the 9630 coming from a Curve. I think the complaints about the back cover will start to disappear when they get their first screen scratch!
But, battery life is great, the display quality is great, the new browser is great, and the overall look and feel is nice. I think the keyboard is much improved over the Curve, and of course having a GPS that works with Google is great. I particularly like the geo-tagging on the camera and being able to display the photos on Google Maps.
It would have been nice to have a Today theme at rollout.
I expect bugs with any new rollout - those huge email fonts from gmail, the occasional need to reset the wireless connection to receive data - but in due time (now perhaps?).
Mine has the slightly undersized battery door. The screen ripple is what EVERY flat screen monitor does when you push on it. Try it with your computer screen. By the way," it ain't a tough screen." The track ball on my 8330 felt better turned up to 80 while I turned this one down to 60 and it's better than it was.
I love my Tour coming from the Storm it is a world of difference. really have no issues with it. I'm enjoying learning all the things a BB with a keyboard can do that the Storm couldn't. I am amazed at how light it feels! Not trashing the Storm just loving my Tour.
By far best phone I have ever had so far. Lags here and there, but nothing a soft reset did not cure, and I expect some lag here and there anyways. As long as I can surf, email and make calls, I am pretty much satisfied.

I love my Tour except for what I did to it today.
I dropped it at lunch.
Screen scratch?
Nope.
The tile floor bit a chunk out of the top left corner. Oh well. It's only a phone....
