Hi all,

Ok so, The only time I use Voice activated dialing is when I am using a Bluetooth in the car, and the button on that activates VAD. so having the side button linked to VAD is pointless.

Now with my pearl I had it assigned to the application switcher for easy app switching. with 4.7 and the "hold the BB button to app switch" this is no longer needed either.

so post your left convenience key assignments here, hopefully one will sound like a good idea to me.

for me, i got browser on left and camera on right...i use keyboard app shortcuts instead of dial from keyboard option.

whats convenient for me may not work for you. you need to play around and see whats right for you

I keep sms/mms on the left key so If I get a txt I can look at it quick and easy no matter what programs I'm running

Before I got QL, I never used the left convenience key.

I also use my left convenience for SMS and MMS. I'm a big texter so being able to get to that easily is helpful.

My left key takes me to my SMS and MMS folder and my right key takes me to my clock so I can easily set the alarm before bed.

My left key is set to lock as well. Got used to it with my Curve, I set it to lock in the holster, but every darn time I put it in I hit a button somehow. So the left key is easy to hit quick to get it locked...

Habit. It's much easier to just hit the left side key than to feel for the top button. I use my right one for my camera. I would switch the left, but I can't really think of anything I'd want to have there.... Tips?

How do you get the keyboard shortcuts for app to work? I thought I had this option years ago on some blackberry I had, but couldn't find an option on tour. When I go to speed dial, I can only assign a contact phone number to a key.

mine is habit as well. its a lot easier to find the key. also, that button never worked right on my curve so i never used it.

Is it just me or is it easier to press the left button than the right button? Maybe it's the skin I have on my Tour.....

Left key is for messages sms right now. But I'm not used to the os yet
