Hi everyone
I seem to be having trouble with wi fi on my Bold.
I know my router is sending a powerful enough signal (5 bar reading on my lap top) but on my BBB it is more like 1 bar.

This is causing my phone to drop wii fi and revert to 3g.

Anyone got any thoughts regarding this?

What kind of router do you have?

I had a dlink, and after having tried everything to get it to work with my Bold, ended up getting a new Jensen router which worked perfectly..

I have a Netgear basic spec router.
Thing is, I had a netgear router previous to this one, of the same spec and it worked fine.
But although the router now, is giving 4 bar strength on my laptop its only giving me 1 bar on my Bold.
Strange, me thinks

are you using WPA2 encryption? the bold doesn't like WPA2. if you are, change it to WPA and try again. worked for me.

i'm using a DD-WRT flashed linksys router.

Really? I have WPA2 and a full solid white WiFi connection. No issues whatsoever.
