I'm sure this has been answered before, but I wanted to you guys to get the straight dope.


I'm a recent T-Mobile defect. I just ordered a Blackberry Bold on AT&T. Will I be able to transfer by T-Mobile SIM card to my new Bold? If so, how?

Not if you are going to use AT&T as your provider. You can use it to move data, but that's about it.

If the phone is NOT unlocked when you go to put the t-mobile sim in the phone the phone WILL not let you copy the contacts, The phone HAS to be unlocked for you to be able to do this.

Just bring it to a dealer and they'll do it for you, my GF went from T-Mo to AT&T so we could talk for free, and they did it for her when she bought her phone

This is true, Most stores will have a SIM copyer and do it all for you!!

If you have outlook, you can add your contacts there....and then sync the contacts
