I was wondering if there is a definite answer on which operating system the new Tour comes with. I know it won't be 5.0 since it is not released yet, so would it be 4.6 or 4.7?
Isn't that 4.7 for the "Desktop Software" not the actual OS on the phone?
The 4.7 that the website is referencing is talking about the Desktop Manager. The device though unless someone in the know states otherwise will have a 90% chance of shipping with 4.7 installed.

Terrible answers.... Everyone knows, because it was posted on a lot of websites, that the phone is coming out with the OS v4.7.1.38 ON VERIZON. I don't know on any other phone companies...

to put it simple the themes probably won't work correctly some may some won't
the 8900 has a lower resolution this could cause issues.
Both the 8900 and the Tour have 480X360 resolution according to the blackberry.com website. The OS difference may cause the themes not to be compatible though.

It's been stated before that the Tour's OS is very stable. This is a business phone through and through so there's no room for error unlike with the Storm.

How will you know if the themes won't work before putting them on your phone, is there a way? Say I download a theme to the Tour that was made for the curve and it won't work, will it mess up my phone at all?
Yeah, its pretty much confirmed that the Tour will launch with 4.7. I don't even really care about 5.0 because there really isn't anything that much different from 4.7.
