For install instruction to load any carrier 8110 OS on your BB:

1. Download desired OS to your PC
2. Install/run OS to PC
3. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader (dont need to if your on At&t)
4. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
5. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

updated to this, and too early to tell, I think the AT&T one had the 'wireless update' removed from advanced options, can someone tell me who's still running the AT&T version?

you can grab any desktop manager from that link, just that means you'd have to download two items instead of one!

I went to the library today and ran this update for my att 8110. So far I've no problems and haven't noticed ANY changes good or bad. I take that back- I am now able to post pics on twitter~
