Previous cell phones I have owned seemed to have a clock that was set to "network" time. AT&T automatically set the clock time and it stayed that way.

Is RIM different? My clock seems to be off at times. It gets slow after a while, and I notice it might be 1 or 2 minutes behind. Is this normal? Are we supposed to have to set it ourselves instead of it being "network time?"

Go to Options/Date/Time and see what your Date/Time Source setting is set to.

There are three settings Network, BlackBerry, and Off.

thanks a lot. I changed it to "network". It was set to blackberry. I guess that meant it was just whatever I had it set to, and now it will be the RIM time?

That's right, if you have it set to Network it be running off your carriers network time and it should always be accurate.
