I noticed my signal strength last night said 1xev instead of 1XEV. What's the significance between the lower case and upper case letters?

I have ATT and before I upgraded to unlimited data, my service read "edge", now unlimited, reads "EDGE". Maybe something similar...

The CAPS means you have all data services available. Lower case means phone and text only.
