Ok here is the scenario..I left my usb cord for my storm at my friends house and i have the leaked .148 which means i cant upgrade to the official via dm...when i look for the official .148 it doesnt show up..does that mean i have to downgrade to .75 and look for the official or it doesnt matter?

There's no point. The leaked and official .148 are both exactly the same.

Btw, sorry, but this has been covered many many many times before. A simple search would've brought up the answer.

Why do you need to upgrade to .148 official? If you have .148 on there then you have .148. Leaked or official, it's the same exact thing.

And here I go again.

The Leaked Version and the Official carry the same Package Version (4.7.0.203). Therefore, the two are identical. Binary comparison of the files, as done by me in another thread also prove that the two are identical.

Therefore, you do not need to "update" to the official version.

Please read RIM's Version Numbers Explained.

For other readers, it is not because the software version is the same (.148) that the OS is the same. Always check the package version.
