Please Submit More Themes that currently work or don't with current release
It's kinda serious as In next OS releases that's how things may go
and themes that were created with earlier versions of Plazmic Builder
will keep creating People trouble and thus render Threads with themes eventually corrupted
So the earliest we have notified builders and the earliest they have refreshed/compiled their themes with latest Plazmic Builder
The better for us!Last edited by sugardad; 06-02-09 at 04:49 PM.

- Theme builders may not want to or be able to update since this bug may be limited to .151 and it is not official. No way to tell until a version other than .151 leaks.06-01-09 02:39 PMLike 0
- I agree with you Antagonist
BUT
why the
AppleBerry Classic No SVG scripting
and Appleberry Glass with SVG scripting
Work a treat?
Maybe because Theme maker CONSTANTLY updated the theme and the last time he Informed us that the update was with the very latest build of Plazmic builder!
Anyways I have Informed Mr Hastings about this..
Surely we don't know If this is only this build's problem
but If a simple refresh/recompile of the theme just fixes the problems, then why not!
I create themes and If a problem as such arised then I would do anything In order to keep everyone happy both paid and free users!06-01-09 02:49 PMLike 0 - I'm guessing the problems are caused by the new transitions that I've been reading about that where added to the OS starting with .151, so i may take an update to plazmic to fix this....06-01-09 02:51 PMLike 0

- I being a developer, can assure you it is not the theme builder's fault. We all use the latest version of plazmic and there's no "change" that can be made to accommodate the issue at hand.
What most don't understand is we don't alter the way your phone works. All we do is set images to look a certain way on the screen. Everything that you see in a theme on your phone was already on there and we changed the way it looked. The latest .151 build is missing one of the key ingredients in allowing themes to be displayed and function properly. I can assure you that there is nothing we can do about any of the bricking that seems to be happening with the .151 build. I think it would be wise to downgrade so that you can use the themes you love and sometimes paid for.06-01-09 06:31 PMLike 0 - Yep, exactly. And with RIM's response to the last update to plazmic (which is still faulty in MANY ways) I don't forsee one in the near future.06-01-09 06:32 PMLike 0
- OK
I know already that we don't alter the way phone works. All we do is set images to look a certain way on the screen. Everything that you see in a theme on your phone was already on there and we changed the way it looked.
As I build themes also and I'm really concerned and frustrated many times by Plazmic builder and It's problems
I also checked new OS 151 for any discrepancies and changes versus oldest OS releases (141, 148 so on) and found that
main standard theme has Increased In size
main themereader cod Increased In size and was unable to read older standard themes
also the general theme engine was Increased In size (math, mediaengine etc)
.....
It's a Plazmic thing for sure (for now)
as the Creator of AppleBerry Glass Informed me that:
The latest version of Glass features an SVG file that had 30% of its code removed and optimized, so perhaps something I eliminated by hand ended up making it compatible with the latest OS. I don’t think many theme developer sit down and question the logic behind what Composer outputs as an SVG file, not all of it is necessary.
a check at the coding of these SVG themes vs other SVG themes would reveal the solution...Last edited by sugardad; 06-01-09 at 06:40 PM.

I don't foresee it being a huge deal unless the next 9530 OS leak comes out and has the same problems.06-01-09 06:36 PMLike 0 - Also as posted above, it may be an SVG issue.
If my themes weren't working, I would remove the SVG entirely and send it to somebody who has .151 installed and see if it works on their device. That would at least isolate the problem as being related to the SVG or not.
I'd like to figure this out because many of us have new themes coming and it would be good to know if they're going to work. (=06-01-09 06:37 PMLike 0 - Yes, but why would they work before and now NOT work. This would be RIM's problem for releasing an OS that isn't compatible with their own product Plazmic.06-01-09 06:39 PMLike 0
- I agree BboyerUGA
but as I said earlier on another .151 thread
We have a new OS waitin' at the gates OS5.0.x.xx
so this is something I was expecting sooner or later
better now than later
because If all this happen when new os Is out then all will rant and flame that the new OS apparently ruined their lives and their devices
So If some themes need refresh/recompile with the latest build of Plazmic then that shall be done....
already there are some theme which work perfectly with the new OS functions
Great news!!!
Mac n' Berry works
Whereas Crystal Clear Line does not (I tried It!)Last edited by sugardad; 06-01-09 at 06:51 PM.
