    Hi everyone,

Just thought I would share a way to get the new free "The Weather Network Mobile" (The Weather Network - Mobile - WeatherEye Mobile). the program is "supposed" to be only available for Canada. If you go to that link, it asks you for your phone number and provider (Canada providers only). So, I did some playing around and found the download link.

Go to http://weyebb.pelmorex.com/blackberry/ on your BlackBerry and download it. Then install it. When it asks you to add a primary location, add a major USA or Canada city (unfortunately smaller cities and towns don't seem to be on there).

Please respond to this post if you need any help or would like to comment on this new program.

    Have fun!
    Paul

    Hi,

If you mean on The Weather Network, go to "Current Conditions" and then "Options" and scroll down and under Home Screen Icon unchecked "Display Home Screen Weather Icon."

    Hope this helps!

Are you using Opera Mini? If so, try using the default BB Browser.

    1. For blueberry23 - try typing in the address manually. That's what I did on my 8130.

    2. I love this program!

Go to the mobile.blackberry.com website and delete it the same way you added it.

    Very cool!

It seems it even has an icon that changes. =)

I didn't think I would like it better, but considering the weather channel's never updates, and this can do so every 30 mins if you want, this is way better.

This program is amazing. I love the "scroll" effect within the program when you roll the trackball. Very nice. Plus it even has a city within about 5 minutes of me. Nearly Perfect.

    Hello Everyone,

I've got a solution for everyone who's not able to download the application even though their OS version is 4.1 or higher.

    1. Open the BlackBerry Browser
    2. Press the Menu button and go to Options
    3. Select "Browser Configuration"
    4. Scroll down to "Emulation Mode" and change the option selected to "BlackBerry"
    5. Press the Menu button and select "Save Options"
    6. And finally try the WeatherEye download link again, it should work now.
    7. NOTE: If it doesn't work, try pressing the Menu button and selecting "Refresh"

If this still doesn't work, that really means your OS version is below 4.1.

Anyone else unable to get current conditions today for their city? This app was working fine until today. Well, except for the Short Term forecasts. That never did display anything for me.
