I have had my 8900 just over a month with no issues. Today I notice that with my wifi on, it displays the name of my wifi connection on my home screen as if it's connected, however the wifi symbol is not lit up as it should be. It will light up every once in a while and say "uma" then go away after just a few seconds, the connection name is constant though.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am not even sure if it's connected as the name shows or not as the symbol show.

Probably a problem with your router, do you ever notice it go out/restart? Check the level signal.

Do a battery pull on your phone and restart your router.

Unplug the router for 10 seconds then plug it back in, it could be a broadcast issue with the router.
