So I'm constantly arguing with myself whether I want to keep my Storm au natural because it looks classier or to keep a silicone cover on it and keep it safe from scratches!
Just wondering what everyone's opinions are on this topic
wow.... totally didnt think this was what this thread was gonna be about! since i'm here tho, i keep mine naked when it's in the holster. other than that, it's in a clear hard plastic case
I do worry more about cracking the screen than scuffing the housing. If the housing is scratched, phone will still work (assuming it didn't get internal damage when dropped) until a replacement housing was purchased and installed. But the screen, couldn't use the phone if the screen was busted, and I'm not sure if the cases would do anything to protect that part anyway.
Mine was actually naked for quite some time but, I recenty got one of the incipio feather cases and they are REALLY thin and AMAZING. Closest to natural as you're going to get
I do have a screen protector though. And I keep it in the official BB leather (or is it pleather?) sleeve with the powersave magnet built into the sleeve when I'm walking around with it in my pocket.
I do this because I love the way the Storm looks as it did out of the box. It's great that you guys have the slip-on thin or hard cases to protect your Storms from physical trauma, but nothing beats the natural look IMO.
as a side note, why not try decalgirl.com I got a sweet looking decal for mine, so it is still not bulky and protected from scratches. kinda like invisible shield but much more fun
I have mine in the BlackBerry gel because the battery cover scratched to easily. I treated my phone like it's my child and I still managed to scrape the back cover within a couple of days. No idea how or why they made this cover so cheap.
not a thing protecting mine. Screen has one very fine scratch but it doesnt really bother me. That screen should be fine for a while since I throw mine in my pocket with my keys
Naked, because that's the only way it will fit in my holster. Fortunately, I'm very good with not dropping phones. But I have seen a couple of nice skins that I wouldn't mind having.
