I don't see the point of an optical trackball on a touch screen device. I can definitely see future BBs moving away from physical trackballs to optical trackballs if latter proves popular. The less moving parts, the better!
The Storm 2 will probably look more like the new all-black Curve than the Bold. All-black definitely is a good look. The mixture of silver plastic and/or silver with black is outdated already!
Lets hope they are able to address some of the glaring problems with the Storm, first and foremost buggy, poorly designed and laggy OS.

thats possibly because RIM keeps updating copy and pasting instead of the things people really care about, like speed....stability..

No, actually it isn't. It makes navigation and small finite selections (i.e. editing) much faster and precise then it currently is. It would also make programs that would run in Compatibility Mode easier to control as well. Think out of the box people...
