    Hello All,

Small question: I have t-zones (5.99) plan on my account. I can use browser and GMaps works. But no email.

How do I setup Internet email on my 8900 (t-mobile)?

Here is what I have done:

    * Logged in "My t-mobile" and setup blackberry internet email option
    * added the existing account (setup went fine).
    * changed device pin / imei
    * send service books

    Still no email.

Thats becuase the 5.99 WebPlan does not support Email.. .. .. My Wife had that on her Pearl and she never got email.

you need to have the BIS plan on the device in order for email to work. the tzones is just internet. BIS (blackberry internet service) is 24.99, and includes 400 text/mms

    thanks for the replies!

Are there any work around(s)? I've been searching on this forum + Google... and hear of something called "feature enabler"?

Is this something I should call T-Mobile and ask them to enable? (what does it actually do?)
Can that make my email work?

You do need a BB data plan.

    Fair enough!

Also, can you just explain what this "feature enabler" is all about?

    Thanks!

From what I understand and I might be wrong, is it allows you to use AIM Yahoo messenger ICQ etc without a data plan.

Does this mean that I won't be charged for using Yahoo Messenger (i.e. instant messages being charged as SMS)?

With a data plan, the I'm apps just use data, no txt.
However if you use feature enabler without a data plan, you'll be charged by texts for each IM.

Feature enabler also allows you to send/get MMS.
