I'm making the transition from the Curve 8310 to the Bold. The Bold is awesome ! My question is how do I know which programs will use the wifi as default and which will use my data plan by default. Since the wifi is faster than my data plan, is there a way to specify the different apps to try wifi first then the data plan second ?
The hitch is, Bold is Wifi capable, but not Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) enabled.
That means only one application, Hotspot Browser, is able to use Wifi. Third party applications will still depend on the infrastructure of a BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) plan.
