I Got My Storm Today And It Came With .075 From Verizon. I Have Spent Much Of The Day Playing And Transferring All Of My Data And Games. Now It Is Time To Upgrade Os.
I Am Not A Computer Or Bb Geek But I Do Know The Difference Between Ram And Rom. So Which Firmware Upgrade Will Work With Verizon Yet Has Most Of The Bugs Cleaned Out So I Don't Do A Hair Pull With Each Battery Pull!!
    Thanks!

For you, I would suggest .132.

    -Download and install .132
    -Remove Vendor.xml file (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.0.132_P4.0.0.162)
    -Disconnect from the internet
    -Plug in BB
    -Open DM
-When it ask to upgrade, upgrade
-Give it about 30-45 mins to complete
-Once your done, just give it a battery pull

I've got Verizon and to me the signal strength was much better on .122. I have the 1EXV drop to 1x an aweful lot and it's really annoying. I have to either turn the radio off and on or reboot to get it back. Never had this issue with .122

Unless you get smoke coming out of the phone it is virtually impossible to "brick" a blackberry.

Is it just me or has call quality improved SIGNIFICANTLY on .132 when compared to .122 and lower?

All voices do not sound "stringy" but clear.

radio on 132 significantly better. I would have calls going directly to voicemail and bars dropping on 122. Also, on 122, i would constantly go to 1X or eve D. So I would totally lose data service. 132 has great reception from the radio.

I'll just add that I moved from .122 to .132, and I have no intention of going back. It seems that the memory leakage issue has stopped or greatly reduced itself. My memory has been holding steady for 48 hours now at 28mb after starting up at a high of 42.

For those of us on VZW, like the OP, removing the Vendor.xml file is not needed.

I had to remove it to get Apploader to recognize.

As for the OP, I had much better signal strength on .122 as well. My data speeds dropped to under 300kbps with .132
