BB maps did not come on my BB so I went to the Blackberry website looking for it or some info. There was a statement something like "Blackberry Maps is not available on the AT&T network" on the info or download page.

What's up with that? Is it just not "officially" supported? Can I still download it OTA or via computer and make it work?

You need to modify the OS through your PC, but it can be done, i have it on my ATT 8310.

I actually downloaded blackberry maps from www.mobile.blackberry.com on both my 8310 and 8820 without having to modify the OS.Give it a try!
