I'm coming off a WM habit of 6 years, and love having to click as opposed to constant rubbing letters on the virtual keyboard. Best phone I've ever had...hands down.
Really? Didn't think the Storm was going to be different then the WE...... Stick it out the os upgrades have made great leaps.

Some people just can't get used to typing on a screen. Remember you can take it back within the first 30 days - I would advise this if the device is causing enough rage in you to almost throw it against a wall.
(Either that or a good therapist. I am not a therapist and neither have I played one on TV!) - sorry Leyther, that wasn't a pastiche on one of your legal disclaimers!
upgarde to .113 or .122 typing on one of these two os are a world of difference than typing on the .75 os. I felt the same way while trying to type on .75 but when I upgraded to .113 and then .122 I love typing on my storm now. It makes a big difference.
took me about an hour to get used to it. Took my son about twenty minutes when he got his, took my wife about three days to get use to hers and she switched from a curve.
its quite e z 2use actually. my boy tried 2scare me away from it and get ah iphone but i text real quick on it. i was textin average after 3or 4 days. good after ah week and by 2 or 3 i was speedy.
i hated typing on it at first as well. now i can type faster on it than i did on my curve. it takes a little bit of time..i can type much faster in landscape mode then in suretype mode, but others can do it faster with suretype. landscape is a good way to learn i think.
you can try the following settings for the keyboard if you want, i can type much faster with these:
Tap Interval: 100
Hover Period: 100
Swipe Sensitivity: 6
There are alot of posts on the internet about different settings and how they effect typing, try reading through them. i can now type faster than the phone registers, however i think this is more because of the OS rather than my typing speed
