My son is a firefighter. Does any one know if there is an app to receive fire calls almost like what you can receive on a bearcat scanner. I know that the radio frequencies are very local and would just need one or two frequencies that I could receive when I am in my local area
I looked in the Search Forums" section and found that there are no apps at this time namely because of frequency issues. The only answer that can be given is to use the web browser and go to a site that broadcasts that.
If i wanted to set up my fire departments frequency online can someone pm a link of a step by step way of doing this. becuase i know there would be many guys that would want to do this

I will post some info here for everyone in a few minutes.
All of the online scanners available through ScanAmerica are provided by volunteers, without them his site could not exist.
If you have a scanner you're not using and you would like to provide a scanner feed for ScanAmerica, e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll send you easy to follow instructions on how to set it up. Please include a list of the agencies that would be on your feed along with the county or counties your feed would cover and in what state.
To provide a scanner feed you do not need to have a second computer, you can use the computer you normally use to surf the web as long as you leave it on all the time. In addition, you'll also need a DSL or Cable Modem connection to the Internet and an audio cable to connect the earphone jack of your scanner to the Line In input of your computer's sound card.
Providing a scanner feed will not slow down your Internet connection, the digitized audio that is sent to my server uses only a fraction of the upload portion of your connection, the part of your connection which you use very little of anyways. Providing a scanner feed will use approximately 5GB of bandwidth per month.
Everyone that provides a scanner feed receives:
Credit on this page for providing the feed.
Access to lots of feed statistics (such as peak and number of unique listeners for feeds over the past week, 2 weeks, month, etc) for the scanner feeds.
The rank of Scanner Feed Provider in the forums as well as a bunch of $$$'s under their name.
Lots of grateful listeners and a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart.
i have the storm and wolud like to use scan amercia but it tells me that do you want to open or save i hit open and it go to it cannot be displayed and ask to save it. i save it and then it unsupported media type please help.
on moodio how do i get SOUTH CAROLINA BERKELEY fire and ems on there.
First get an account by signing up at Welcome to Moodio! | Moodio. Then go into the station list and search for Berkeley. SHould turn up two stations, the Berkeley county fire & EMS, and some pacifica radio station. Click add for the fire & EMS one.
THen, using your BB built in browser, go to m.moodio.fm, log in, and select the station you want to listen to.
Looks like the Berkeley Fire & EMS station was added to moodio today. Did you do that?
I have been using moodio, for listening to Braves games, and just recently tryed to add a scanner station from scanamerica with no luck. Been trying to add the Aiken County, SC scanner and can't seem to find the right url. Here is the link: Aiken County, South Carolina Live Police, Fire, and EMS Scanners. Any help would be appreciated!!!
