    Hi there,

Have any of you installed and ran the Speedtest app from BB App World? What were your results? How accurate is this test?

I'm on Rogers 3g (set to 3g only) and got the following this morning at 9am:
    ------------------
    Download speed is: 220.35 Kbits/s
    Max speed is: 225.83 Kbits/s

    Upload speed is: 20.21 Kbits/s
    Max speed is: 109.52 Kbits/s
    ------------------

Holy my actual upload speed sucks?! How does the 'Max speed' relate to my actual speed?

Thanks for any who can shed some light...

    Have a great day!

Thats one thing I miss from my Sprint HTC Diamond, my speeds averaged at 1.2mb down and 850k up and I had an app that turned it into a wireless access point so I could easily use it with any laptop. I think ATT has the worst transfer speeds from all the major carriers.

On ATT 3G... This particular upload number is slower than usual. Typically it's almost the same.

On VZW 3g and this is without full signal (but still 1XEV).

Need to include the dbm, otherwise it's kinda pointless.

Can you be more specific on what this application is called. I did a search for "speed test" on Blackberry App World and could not find it. Thanks.

how come ATT advertises being the "fastest" 3g network when it actually isn't? I am also getting around the 200ish download and 100ish upload..

Yeah suddenly I realize I'm on the Turtle Wireless Network, too!

Really though, I'm thinking my download speeds are fine for surfing it's the darn BB Browser that takes a long time to render out a page..."loading scripts..." Grr! We'll save that for another thread, Haha!

Thanks all for posting...it's really interesting to see what other networks can do! I'm in Canada and well, don't have as many choices I would say. I believe Rogers is the only GSM network here?
