So i have been going around and hearing guys saying "i'm gonna get the bold is looks like something a guy would have", when did blackberry phones become sex preffered. Then last week at my job my female co worker was going on how cute 8900 is and its soo a chick phone. Now i look at my 8900 is it really feminine and other phones like bold masculine. it's like being a guy and having a Mazda 3 everyone says thats a chick car but wth does the device or electronic have that makes it segregate genderly, isn't it usually the user input to make it that way, why are people deciding on it because that reason. Tell me your input; do you think 8900 is a feminine phone or bold is masculine or any other BB, this topic has become interest of mine because i encounter soo much say on it.
yea it is pretty ignorant especially when girls like it big have you seen how females rock out with the big stuff like bolds, giant suvs, Purses, guys etc. lol
Well, if you put a miniskirt on the phone, then yeah, it's like, totally a girl phone, but then again, a nice suit and tie sometimes looks better and -
WHATTHEHELLITSAPHONE.
Phone's don't have no-no bits to distinguish them.
If u compare them side by side like that, then yea the size of the 8900 would make it seem as more a girl's phone. but really, it all comes down to personal preferences.
I would not say it is either. Comparing it to the Bold is pointless as the phones are offered by different carriers. I got the 8900 b/c it is the hottest phone offered by T-mobile.

So what if one carrier had both phones and same capabilities

and convenient maybe cos of size...lol My handbag is huuuuuuuuuuge. the days of phones fitting in my skinny jean pocket are long gone. None of the cool new phones are small enough for that
I don't get what criteria is used for saying a phone is feminine or masculine. I heard that the Curve 8320 was feminine in gold, masculine in red and unisex in grey. ?!?!?
To me, the Pearl 81XX seems more like a feminine phone regardless of color. No disrespect to you dudes who have a Pearl; it just seems like the perfect size for a woman's purse.
As for the Curve 8900, I've heard chicks are diggin' it as much as dudes, so I guess that'll make it a unisex phone.

Then it would come down to size preference and i don't think that is a Male Female thing. i'd still probably chose the Curve b/c as a man, i like Curves! lol plus, i think we all can agree that in general, with cell phones, smaller has been promoted as better.
For guys that are concerned about their phones perceived as feminine, just get a super-badass sports car or sexy girl as your wallpaper. That'll tell 'em!
I'd say the Curve is a unisex phone. How feminine or masculine you make it depends on yourself. I always have a pretty lady as a wallpaper (Angelina Jolie atm)
I totally agree with luvlee. Now if you had say a Pink 8330 for example, then its a girly phone, but other than that I don't think its feminine by any means.
I own the Blackberry Storm, Bold and 8900 and I have to say that right next to each other the 8900 is the most feminine. However, by its own I think I would go with following labels if any:
