I have a Telus branded curve 8330 and this happens to me all the time. I add videos encoded in 3gp format. At first it plays fine and then I go back to the file and wanna watch the video again and it says "The media being played is of an unsupported format." A small red box in the upper right hand corner says "Error Playing"
...WTF, I just watched it 3 times previously with no issues.

try to make a Battery Pull Technique....it might work...work for me...hope for you too..
