I've had my bold since December and this is the first time this problem has occurred. I have had .237 OS on the bold for about 2-3 months now without issues. I haven't made any recent changes to the device or installed an app recently. I just did a batt pull to free up some memory and now it is resetting repeatedly every 25 seconds. Batt pulls do nothing. I have a number of 3rd party applications on the device that have taken a long time to configure so I would wipe as a last resort (most recent install was BB App World about a week ago). Does anyone have any other suggestions or at least heard of this problem before?!
Hmm, you could upgrade or downgrade the OS in hopes it would at least stabilize the device. You could also try to "un nuke" your berry. I would resign myself to the fact that you're going to lose some stuff. You can also try pulling the battery for an extended period.
I starting having the exact same problem today, my bold just keeps resetting every minute or so. I have noticed that when i turn off the mobile network i don't have the problem, but my phone is a little useless with that off . I spent hours today with AT&T an the only solution they could come up with is changing the simcard (which i did and the problem persisted) or get my bold exchanged.
I would love some technical help, because the workers at AT&T just guide you through a solution book basically, i doubt they even know about the phone.
Thanks
p.s. i have the latest firmware update for AT&T bolds, .157
I had similar problems twice on my previous Blackberry, a Curve 8320. In both cases the SD card had become corrupted (I discovered this myself by chance btw, it's not something listed in that support manual that you mentioned). Putting a new one in solved the problem. Worth a try I reckon.
This same thing started happening to mine last night. It started with an "App error 200" and ever since the bold continually resets. However, when I remove the sim card, the phone is fine. Useless but not restarting. I grabbed a new sim this morning and all was fine until I installed app world again. Almost as soon as I did that, the restarts began again. Looks like app world is the sim corrupting culprit and I gotta make another trip to the At&t store.
