I checked it out, but deleted my account a few minutes later. There weren't very many people and the few that were there the profiles didn't really tell me much about interests, locations... no search thing that i saw either

I checked out pinppl. Love the look of the site, but what freaks me out a bit is the way the URL is actually the member's BlackBerry PIN. I like giving my pin out, but not broadcasting it to the world. Won't take long for a person to figure out to snag all the PIN's off the web address then toss them into some sort of mass spamming program. I'd rather have the option of giving out my pin if possible rather than making it mandatory.
Cool thread though...i wouldn't consider it being shot down!
I don't worry too much about giving out my pin....maybe I should I figure that I can always delete someone from my pin contacts if they get unruly....oh well.
