September Storm won't be a new hardware upgrade. It will be an OS upgrade that will expand app memory to 256MB and enable WiFi on the current Storm.

im pretty sure of two things here. first, is this post is pure sarcasm, and two, didnt someone open a storm up and prove theres no wi-fi chip or whatever you need built in?

im also pretty sure at this rate we'll have to wait till september to get a new official os. and because of that im pretty sure im going to look into getting a new blackberry by then because the dust is so bad in mine that i can barely read whats on the screen outside.

Exactly. Many have said that the Storm was not built with a Wifi chip enabled in it. So I dont see this happening. But that is a good shot I guess. Theres no wrong answers or right answers when it comes to this forum I guess lol

actually if you guys think about it could be true, GSM storms have wifi, they arent going to develop a whole new phone just for gsm are they? interesting Civ good food for thought anyways.

Why must you do this to me? I love my storm, but if there's one better? Oh god damn my addiction. I'll prob just end up buying it for the wifi. At least OS 5.0 was announced and there's a screen shot on the curve. Oh how much ye keep the masses with naught but hope.

It's always interesting on a board to figure out who really has inside info and who is full of BS. However, sooner or later the "insiders" end up putting a stake-in-the-ground and the shake-out happens.

An "insider" here spent the latter part of 2008 planting a stake in the ground, telling us how the pre-release scoops were wrong, the Storm would be amazing on release. When that came to pass, we heard that VZW screwed up the OS, and the next release would fix all the problems. Well, we know how that went, and a shake-out happened (although many here still give the poster the benefit of the doubt.

You've just planted a stake-in the ground. I'm pretty sure there is no wifi chip in the current storm. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. I guess we'll soon find out if you're an insider, a BSer, or just full of sarcasm.
