Yeah, I'm really disappointed with the prices. Happy with the amount of free apps, like you said, but bummed about the priced ones. If they were 99 cents like the iPhone store I would be a lot more likely to buy more apps...not to compare, haha.

Yeah with the economy today who is going to be so free with their money and buy these apps? I have a feeling the prices will drop when they don't make their projection.

Yeah I agree, if it were .99c I would buy a ton of games, but I just expect some of the apps are expensive because they are the first, when there are more and more apps (competition) of course the prices will go down.

No, I'm pretty sure that was the plus version if you looked at the **. The free version is limited, but stays free.

There is a $199.99 app for Physicians in emergencies. Cool, but damn, that it pricey!

I don't plan on payn for any apps untill the prices are lowered. RIM knows its highway robbery... The devs will get less money this way anyways because alot of people don't wna pay 2.99+ for something thats worth 1$ like 3k people would buy the app for 2.99 while 15k people would pay 99cents. Yeah >_> im quite disapointed at the moment. Maybe Crackberry store might start doing that, Id switch to them

Yeah it's a shame that 2.99 is the cheapest, There are alot of apps I simply won't pay that much for, expecially without a trial.

if they were taking credit/debit cards the retailer gets charged too. my guess is PP gave them a cheaper rate than the traditional 3% a credit card charges the retailer

This is where App World is going to get smoked by the iPhone's store. Not many people want to buy these expensive apps unless they have the cash. And to say $2.99 is reasonable...is it really for college kids or high school kids? And dont tell me that blackberry is a business phone because with Fart apps, the storm is NOT just a business phone, it is meant to go mainstream. And also, the iphone's store is popular because of the free and $0.99 apps, not because of its $11.99 guitar hero.

The iPhone may be centered for "kids" as you say mentioned, while the Storm may centered around adults (believe it or not, adults like to laugh as well, they can just pay for it). And being centered towards adults is not excluding it from being "mainstream".

b/c we spent all our money on the phone and month charges and have a little money left over for some 'reasonably' priced apps.

also, it costs people 1/10 of there submissions per $200 for sending in free apps. they shouldnt cost a penny to submit, they are just asking for people to NOT sumbit anything for free.

That is why I never bought anything from them either. There are some apps that are worth 2.99 then there are some that are worth 25 cents. For example: storm slots and storm yahtzee I feel is worth the 2.99 but on the flip side of the coin Fishing for blackberry is worth about 25 cents in my opinion. But this is just my opinion and I am sure that someone else feels differently.
