Your Verizon Navigator is probably just as good. But if you don't want to pay, for me it's by far Google Maps. Usually finds my location withing 9 meters or less. As far as directions go, never had a problem either. Street view works pretty well when walking around trying to find a place.
VZ Navigator is the best GPS application available for a Berry, with it also allowing you to do local telephone number searches, checking out traffic situations, allowing you to avoid different scenerios, even finding the proper terrain of travel depending on your type of vehicle.
I'm very happy with the sprint navigation that came with my 8130. Use is free with the simply everything plan. Turn by turn is great. I plug the headset jack into my car stereo so I don't even have to look at the map.
