I don't have the problem but have read about people using tape, matchbook covers, paper, etc to stop the creaking. Have also read that a new battery cover can work. Hope you get it fixed.

Or if you want something a little more professional looking, I piece of felt from the craft section of any store for about $0.53 and a dab of glue on the inside of the door...all better...
I had the same problem on my brand new bold. It started getting to me, so I ripped a business card in half and put it in there. The phone feels so solid now.
Maybe its the housing??? I noticed with my silver oem housing (bezel) my leather battery door fits fine. But with my black housinf (bezel) it feels like there's more space for it or something.. Its weird

I have tried every thing, tape business cards, the best thing i have done that has worked has been putting a putty on the inside corners like play-dough, it works and it's so solid its amazing. With all the other ways I have had to upkeep and and tape after a month or so. - Try it out and see
'I use one of the cloths that you use for cleaning spectacles, fold it up and place it between the battery and the back panel.
Solves the problem and you have a great tool for cleaning the screen whenever you need to instead of using your sleeve ;-)'
I put half a bus card in there and it feels like a tank now. Great suggestion although I remember having to do this with my other phones waaay back in the day. Curious though, is it the battery latch that gets loose or somehow the battery door (cover) develops more 'flex'? I don't remember my Bold being so 'creeky' when I first got her back in January of this year.
